Jin Shangyi was born in 1934 in Jiaozuo, Henan Province. Former President of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He is currently the doctoral supervisor and professor of Central Academy of Fine Arts, the chairman of China Artists Association, the vice chairman of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Standing Committee member of the CPPCC National Committee, the 10th Honorary member of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the honorary Doctor of Macao University of Science and Technology. His works have won many domestic and foreign awards, and have been collected by institutions and individuals such as China Art Museum.
