David Manzoor
David Manzur Londoño was born in 1929 in Nela, Colombia. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bogota, the Art Students League of New York, and the Pratt Institute in the same city. At the age of 24, he had his first solo exhibition at the National Museum of Colombia. Most of them are figurative works, a genre that preceded abstract works and continued into the 1970s. Later, influenced by the Spanish Baroque, Manzur began a new phase of his figurative works, which included still lifes, echoes of St. Teresa, figures of St. Sebastian and histories. The picture uses horses as the main subject in various situations.
