List the top 10 according to your own understanding and introduce their works

This is a difficult question to answer, because everyone has different evaluations and preferences for painters. I can only give a subjective ranking based on my own understanding and preferences, which does not necessarily represent the objective reality. Please don’t mind my personal opinion.

According to my own understanding, the ranking of the top 10 artists with the most artistic achievements and influence in modern China is as follows:

Qi Baishi (1864-1957) was a master of modern Chinese painting and a world cultural celebrity. Good at painting flowers and birds, insects and fish, landscape, people, age changes, brush and ink strong moist, bright color, concise and vivid shape, honest and simple artistic conception 1. The fish, shrimp, worms and crabs are full of natural interest. Its calligraphy also has a unique feature, known as “Qi style”. His works include “Shrimp”, “Grape”, “Lotus”, “One hundred Birds”, “Eighteen Arhats” and so on.

Zhang Daqian (1899-1983), modern Chinese painting master, world cultural celebrity 1. He is good at painting landscapes, figures, flowers and birds, and other subjects.
